Typical Sound Development By Age

Are you/others having difficulty understanding your child? Is your child not producing age appropriate sounds? Is your child demonstrating patterns of sound errors? If you answered yes to any of these questions, your child might have an articulatory/phonological delay. Recent research suggests children can accurately produce sounds younger than once believed and early intervention is key!

Language Therapy

Communication is an essential part of our lives. Children need to be able to communicate their wants/needs/desires to be happy and successful. Most importantly, communicating should be FUN and rewarding! I believe language therapy should be child-centered and play-based. Parents/caregivers play essential roles in a child's speech and language development, thus, are an integral part in successful intervention. I incorporate many aspects of the Hanen Centre's approach to language therapy in my own language therapy.
