Phonological Therapy

This therapy is ideal for a child demonstrating phonological processes, or patterns of sound errors. Examples include: 

  • Final Consonant Deletion: ha/hat, uh/up, o/on

  • Consonant Cluster Reduction: poon/spoon, tar/star, mell/smell

  • Velar Fronting: tar/car, do/go, mate/make, dod/dog

  • Stopping: tee/see, doo/zoo, pour/four

Articulation Therapy

This therapy targets sound distortions such as:

  • frontal placement of /s/ sound (lisp)

  • lateral air flow of /s/ sound 

  • distortion of /r/ and vocalic /r/ sounds


Receptive Language Therapy

Receptive Language refers to language a child understands such as:

  • following directions

  • identifying objects

Expressive Language Therapy

Expressive Language refers to the language a child says/produces such as:

  • vocabulary

  • expressing wants and needs

  • syntax (grammar)

  • putting words together

  • pragmatics (social language)

  • fluency
